High-spirited celebrations continued as Jeannie joined Francis Ford Coppola and Madam Chirac at the stylish new Chateau Clerc Milon cellar for a sumptuous feast for more than 300 guests hosted by Philippine de Rothschild. Dinner was served at a glass house specially created for celebrating the opening of the new cellar and the hosts had 1998 Mouton Rothschild and 1990 Clerc Milon poured generously throughout. To cap things off, the night ended with a stunning firework show drawing cheers and exclamations.

Day Three opened with much anticipation to who the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be, which would be announced during the luncheon co-hosted by Vinexpo, Institute of Masters of Wine and Drinks Business. The award went to Monsieur Jean-Michel Cazes, tireless wine ambassador of Bordeaux and talented producer of Chateau Lynch-Bages, Chateau Ormes de Pez, Chateau Villa Bel-Air, Relais & Chateaux Cordeillan-Bages, etc.

In the tastings halls and lounges, more tastings and seminars were organized catering to diverse interests of visitors. At noon, Tim Atkin MW led a tasting of 16 Spanish fine wines from Tempranillo to Albarino and Verdejo to a full room of around 60 intrigued tasters. In the main halls, it is easy to find dedicated tastings hosted by exhibitors of all wine regions. For the adventurous tasters, we recommend trying Turkish, Israeli and Bulgarian wines.
