Day Three opened with much anticipation to who the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award will be, which would be announced during the luncheon co-hosted by Vinexpo, Institute of Masters of Wine and Drinks Business. The award went to Monsieur Jean-Michel Cazes,Chateau Lynch-Bages, Chateau Ormes de Pez, Chateau Villa Bel-Air, Relais & Chateaux Cordeillan-Bages, etc.
In the tastings halls and lounges, more tastings and seminars were organized catering to diverse interests of visitors. At noon, Tim Atkin MW led a tasting of 16 Spanish fine wines from Tempranillo to Albarino and Verdejo to a full room of around 60 intrigued tasters. In the main halls, it is easy to find dedicated tastings hosted by exhibitors of all wine regions. For the adventurous tasters, we recommend trying Turkish, Israeli and Bulgarian wines.
