Jeannie will speaking alongside Robert Parker, Jancis Robinson MW and others at Winefuture Hong Kong 2011. She will be moderating a panel discussion on “Asian Directions – Palate and Perception” during the conference.

Joining her on the panel are Mr. Demei Li, winemaker and consultant from China; Dr. Michikatsu Sato, phenolic researcher and professor from Japan; and Mr. Ian Ford, Managing Partner of Summergate in China.

These experts will detail the idiosyncrasies of Asian palates and each country’s mentality regarding buying and drinking wine and its pairing with food. The useful ideas offered will help you to understand the disparities and similarities between how wine is appreciated in the traditional markets versus that in Asia.
