Wines judged for the Asian palate

Do you know which wine to pair with your favourite sashimi? Wine makers and producers will have the chance to best match their wine with Asian food as entries open for theCathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Competition 2010. The competition now in its second year, gathers Asia’s wine experts to test wines among a broad range of categories designed specifically for the Asian palate.

 

Best Chinese WineandBest Wine Pairing with Sashimiare anticipated to be highlights this year, alongside categories from last year forDim Sum,Kung Pao ChickenandBraised Abalone. The expert panel is Asia-based with judges coming from Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China and Singapore to judge wines based on country, region, variety and style. 

 

Entries are open until November 8, 2010 with the judging taking place on November 30 to November 2, 2010. Results will be announced on November 3, 2010.
