Daring dinners

America has produced in recent years a spate of reality shows that aim to push the human fear factor. Not surprisingly, a group of daring foodies developed a club specifically for ‘extreme dining’. The New Yorkers produced ‘ gastronaughts ‘, the club for adventurous eaters. AP are happy to see such passionate foodies, however we noticed that many of the most ‘extreme’ cuisine is Asian. The gastronauts boast drunken shrimp, yak meat and offal from various Asian restaurants within the U.S. Drunken shrimp traditionally cooks shrimps alive in alcohol and serves them immediately at the table. We wonder if there is any American food that Asians would find so bizarre?
