Asian Catfish Last Resort

This week the Times Online waged war against imported fish from Asia, labelling these ocean dwellers as “the meanest fish ever to grace a fishmonger’s counter” . A decline in Cod and Haddock has forced local restaurateurs to look further abroad for their seafood, resulting in imports of tilapia, Asian Catfish and tropical prawn. If fish from Asia is as a last resort and antithesis of fresh, wholesome produce for those abroad, what hope does this give us within Asia?
