January 2018

Happy New Year & a toast to the upcoming Year of the Dog!

I am delighted to grace the cover of Spirito di Vino Asia magazine in their current issue to kick-start the New Year. My family and I had a good laugh when one of my daughters commented, “This photo doesn’t look like you, there are no wrinkles!” Thank you photoshop and thank you Spirito di Vino Asia! January is designated Burgundy month for me, not just because of the annual Burgundy tasting in London, but due to the week-long celebration organized by Pearl of Burgundy, Asian Palate and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s School of Hotel and Tourism Management (SHTM) from January 24th to the 27th. To sign up for our Échezeaux Grand Cru Masterclass on January 26th featuring 6 different Échezeaux vignerons and their wines, click here. On January 25th we are organizing a free Burgundy seminar called Discover Grand Cru Burgundy featuring three Burgundy vignerons together with Pearl of Burgundy and SHTM’s Food and Wine Academy.

I am thrilled about the launch of the 3-hour wine documentary called ‘The World’s 50 Best Wineries with Jeannie Cho Lee MW’. This program aired on Chosun Broadcasting Corporation to an audience of over 5 million people on January 7th, and will continue being on air every Saturday night (HK time) this month in Korea. There are many new articles on our site – whether you are interested in recommendations on great Port, Sherry or Madeira, food and Krug pairing or a vertical tasting of 100 years of Château Le Puy, please check out My Views. I look forward to seeing many of you in the coming months in Hong Kong, Seoul or Burgundy (early February)! Please stay in touch - I look forward to your comments and questions via Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, WeChat or Weibo.

Wishing you and your family an amazing 2018 filled with laughter, memorable moments and of course, great wines. Cheers!
